Handmade Goat Milk Soap
I make both the old fashioned, cold process lye soap and glycerine base melt and pour soap. All my soaps contain fresh or fresh frozen goat milk.
I use a minimum of ingredients and NO preservatives. I do not color my old fashioned soap, but I do use cosmetic grade fragrance oils. Old Fashioned Soaps contain vegetable oil (usually soybean, NOT peanut), FRESH goat milk, sodium hydroxide, and borax. If unscented, there is also ground oatmeal.
The Glycerin soap uses a vegetable glycerin base, but, of course, I add fresh milk, scent and color.
Old Fashioned bars run about 2 - 3 oz. Glycerin bars are around 4 oz.
Since it takes 3 weeks for a batch of cold process soap to cure out, I do at times tend to run out of different scents.

Glycerin is now available! Since glycerine base soap requires no cure time, I can have a batch ready in 2 - 3 days, depending on the humidity. Glycerin soap also does not distort the scent, so some of the more fragile floral scents will stay true. Glycerin bars cost $4.00. Old Fashioned bars cost $2.00.
Available glycerin scents:
- Lilac
- Violet
- Guin's Gardenia
- and Many, Many more!
** NEW ** I have just ordered Lavender and Tea Tree Essential Oil for use in the glycerin soap. Since I make glycerin soap as needed, please place your order (by email) and allow 3 days to make.
New scents are always being added, especially seasonal ones. Stay tuned and join our Facebook page to be notified of upcoming additions!
Sadly, In the Red Farm at Raleigh Farmer's Market is now closed. I am hoping to continue stocking in one of the permanent stalls.
Our NEW retail location is Donnie's (formerly Martha's) Farm and Garden in Smithfield and their new Selma location at the corner of Hwy. 96 and Little Divine Road. Both of their stores carry not only feed, but also bulk garden seeds, tools, plants, trees and, at the Smithfield store, baby chicks.
